The Jack-O-Lanterns are carved again and the kids are roaming the streets, going from house to house trick-or-treating. It’s Halloween and it’s a time for costumes of spooky monsters and creatures, superheroes and villains as well as unique, outrageous retro dresses.
If you don’t want to be a vampire this Halloween, be something or someone else. Pick a character that is fit to your attitude or mood this spooky time of the year. There is a wide array of costumes to choose from. From the classic vampires and witches to the oldies but goodies 1920′s flapper dress. This would make you stand out in crowd.
If you are not familiar with flappers, let me take you back to the 1920′s when women expressed their independent spirits, defying the rules and exercising their freedom. They wore short skirts at a time when people were still conservative with heavy makeups and net stockings. They became a model for the modern women of today.
If you feel like going feisty and funky, a sequined flapper dress would be great. Or you can also dress like Betty Boop. To complete your flapper get-up, get a bobbed hairdo and some matching accessories. Express your independent nature this Halloween and don’t follow the norms. Be unique and be noticed qith your flapper shoes and outfits.
