How to reduce wrinkles
Beauty, Cosmetics, Men, Personal Care, Women, by eherland.Although it’s a natural development in the aging process, preventing and reducing wrinkles is possible, given a nutrient rich diet, the right components in our face creams, as well as supplements.
Face creams
Some brands of face creams include elastin and collagen on the label of ingredients, but some less honest manufacturers put whole proteins in the creams. The problem with whole proteins is that they will never be absorbed by the skin, as the proteins are too big, and will simply be washed off your skin next time you shower or bath. It is actually just a waste of money, and is of no help to reduce under eye wrinkles.
Natures own wrinkle reducers
Another problem we face in preventing and reducing wrinkles is due to a culprit enzyme called hyaluronidase, which destroys some of our ever-decreasing supply of hyaluronic acid. This means that the collagen and elastin can only bind to the remaining stores of hyaluronic acid.
Vegetables and fruit
Now, how can you increase your natural supply of collagen? Broccoli, oranges, strawberries, sweet bell peppers and Brussels sprouts contain plentiful amounts of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, which also promotes the production of collagen.
Supplements
As for dietary supplements, CoenzymeQ10 and vitamin E are important aids in preventing and reducing wrinkles. You can also apply vitamin E directly to trouble spots. Puncture the gel capsule with a pin and squeeze it on the skin. You’ll probably want to make this an overnight treatment, as vitamin E is quite sticky and thick
