The First Lady of Shoes

Shoes, Shopping, by Ivan S.

Do you love shoes? Then you will love this story. Ever wondered who had the most pairs of shoes? Well there is the one lady back in the Philippines who owned and astonishing 3,400 pairs of shoes. Imagine having rooms literally filled with shoes.

Her name was Imelda Marcos she was the former first lady of the late Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos. When the first family fled the Country in 1986, 3,400 pairs of shoes were found in one of the rooms of the Malacanang Palace. The Guinness Book of world records has listed her as the woman with the largest collection of ladies shoes.

After the discovery of what seems to be an abuse of power by living an extravagant lifestyle she told reporters that her collection was simply because of her love for Filipino made shoes. You can buy shoes online for similar brands of Filipino made shoes from the different shoe makers located in Marikina City in the Philippines.
